Plot
The novel opens with the Volpone Chapter receiving Free Downloads to deploy to the planet of Tarnis. Tarnis is a key world for the Imperium, and it is under attack by a massive Ork horde. The Volpone Chapter is tasked with spearheading the counterattack against the Orks and driving them from the world.
