In the first story, "The Wanderer's Road," Usagi embarks on a perilous journey to find his true purpose in life. Along the way, he encounters a cast of unforgettable characters, including the wise old monk, Neko, and the beautiful princess, Mariko.

Stan Sakai is an American cartoonist and the creator of the award-winning Usagi Yojimbo comic book series. Usagi Yojimbo has been translated into more than 20 languages and has won numerous awards, including two Eisner Awards and two Harvey Awards. Sakai has also worked on a number of other projects, including the popular comic book series Hellboy and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
