The Thrilling Life of America's Original Outlaw
Jesse James was born in Clay County, Missouri, in 1847. His father was a farmer and his mother was a devout Baptist. James had a happy childhood, but his life was turned upside down by the Civil War.
In 1861, Missouri was a bFree Download state, and both the Union and the Confederacy wanted to control it. James's father joined the Confederate Army, and James and his brother Frank joined the Union Army. The brothers fought in several battles, but they were eventually captured by the Confederates. They were held as prisoners of war for several months, and they were subjected to harsh treatment. This experience embittered James, and he vowed to get revenge on the Confederates.

After the war, James and his brother joined a gang of outlaws led by William Quantrill. The gang robbed banks and stagecoaches, and they became known for their ruthlessness. James was one of the most feared outlaws in the country, and he was responsible for the deaths of several people.
In 1876, James was shot and killed by a member of the Pinkerton Detective Agency. He was only 34 years old. James's death marked the end of an era, and he became a legend of the Wild West.
The Thrilling Life of America's Original Outlaw is a fascinating biography of one of the most notorious criminals in American history. The book is well-researched and it provides a detailed account of James's life. The book is also well-written and it is a pleasure to read.
If you are interested in the Wild West, or if you are a fan of Jesse James, then I highly recommend reading The Thrilling Life of America's Original Outlaw.
